Connelly School of the Holy Child seeks a qualified permanent Full Time Dance Teacher, who will teach multiple levels of dance (Grades 6-12), maintain program continuity, and support student development. The Full-time Dance Teacher at Connelly School of the Holy Child will be responsible for educating and inspiring students (Grades 6-12) in various dance techniques and styles. This role includes choreographing dances for school performances and fostering an engaging atmosphere in the dance program.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction
- Teach diverse dance styles to foundations through advanced levels
- Implement and adapt existing curriculum to meet student needs
- Differentiate instruction for diverse learning abilities
Choreography & Performance
- Choreograph and rehearse students for the annual Dance Concert, assemblies, and special school events
- Provide creative leadership in choreography and production design
Student Development
- Inspire students to achieve personal dance goals
- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback
- Foster intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development
Communication & Collaboration
- Coordinate with Director of Visual and Performing Arts and performing arts department
- Maintain professional communication with students, parents, and administrators
- Collaborate on musical productions and school performances

- Support Holy Child's mission and values
- Foster a culturally responsive, inclusive classroom environment
- Follow all school policies and safety protocols
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Dance or equivalent
- Dance training and classroom teaching experience
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Energetic, creative, dependable, and professional
- Commitment to student safety and proper technique
- Demonstrated patience and strong leadership capabilities
