PSG has partnered with a growing real estate investment firm in La Jolla to hire an Assistant Controller. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, support a nationwide portfolio, and partner closely with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and efficient processes. The position reports to the Controller and manages two direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting operations and month-end close activities
Support property and corporate teams with timely, solutions-oriented guidance
Manage cash flow, banking activities, and funding needs
Review financials, variance analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations
Support budgeting, lender reporting, and property tax processes
Drive process improvements and assist with special projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
3-5+ years of real estate or multifamily accounting experience
Advanced Excel skills; experience with Yardi, RealPage, AppFolio, or MRI
Prior team leadership experience preferred; CPA a plus
